Back in the old days (the '90's) we often saw Web sites with graphics indicating they were under construction. These sites often included links to page with content that simply said "coming soon."

Here on the Coventry Village site we also have more content coming soon, but we didn't want to send you wandering around links that lead to nowhere. So instead we're launching the site in phases.

Phase One was launched on May 25, 2010. In that phase we launched the new home page, the about section and the events section in basic HTML. We launched Phase One with minimal content to make sure we could give you the latest information about the Coventry Street Arts Fair in advance of the actual event on June 17, 2010.

On June 1, 2010 we launched Phase Two. In this phase we converted the site from plain HTML to WordPress and added the Visit Us section with directions and maps.

What you are seeing now is Phase Three, launched July 13, 2010. We launched the Coventry Blog on that date in order to better commemorate Coventry friend & neighbor, Harvey Pekar. Harvey was a story-teller. As we add more authors we hope to see the blog evolve into a place where they too can share their stories of life on Coventry.

As of now we are collecting content for our merchant section. Once we've compiled enough information we'll begin launching merchant pages where you'll be able to learn more about the stores, restaurants, bars and other neighborhood establishments. This information will also allow us to add more details to our map pages.

Thank you for visiting the Coventry Village Web site!
